Don't mean to tag on this post but I have had the boat start by itself as well. Ignition turned off and boat will just start on its own. I believe something is getting wet. Any ideas on what it could be ? Doesn't happen all the time but has done it once or twice every other trip out.

I guess you have a bad solenoid as well.

Could be the solenoid getting wet. Like the old screwdriver trick if you jump the two terminals together it will start the motor without the ignition switch . Check wiring at solenoid for shorts and your terminal block. I had the opposite where mine wouldn't shut off because two wires melted to each other. Had to beef up the gauge of wire. Maybe some dielectric grease will help if all is normal.

GT : take the wheel. Haha
