need suggestions on head gasket and everything needed...
« on: February 15, 2011, 06:08:25 PM »
id normally pickup a felpro for a car, but didnt know if there was a marine prefered gasket or anything like that.  i figure ill need a headgasket set, headbolt set, intake manifold gasket set, and exhaust manifold gasket set (previously using silicone, figure its time to just use gaskets), and i dunno what else is needed.

fairly stock bbc.

IMHO the cheapest and best way to go would be to order a Fel-Pro marine valve grind set. If you piece it together you will very well spend more money than just buying the kit to start with....The "marine" set has all the proper gaskets and is pretty damn complete...
