Title: Stock 454,which carb?
Post by: Sicaz66 on April 11, 2013, 10:16:19 AM
Have a mostly stock 454 in 21' open bow. Have 2 carbs here to run. AED 650 dp, or vacuum secondary 750. Motor has dual plane intake,049 heads, elect ign, and mild cam, with logs.

Double pumper... All things being equal the engine will not make enough vacuum to pull the butterflies WFO on the vac/sec in most cases.

Doesn't the (vacuum) secondaries open by 'Lack of vacuum'?
