I hope some one can help me with this I am new to the Ford world and I have a 460 all stock and im wanting to stroke it with a 4 and half in crank with 6.7 I beam rods do I have to open the block up so the rods will clear ?

Nope.

Piston/cam selection will be important  as well as proper install to ensure proper valve/piston clearance, etc is all you should run into.

I have a set of FORGED .030 over 22cc dish pistons that will work perfect in that combo. I ran them for one season and then decided to go higher compression. with a 76cc combustion chamber they make aprox. 11.5 to 1.
