Hey guys going threw the 455 for the first time can anyone explain this hole?? looks like its been cut? :screwy:
Pulled engine due to large amounts of water in the oil :banghead:could this possibly be it?
any educated guess would be awsome thanks!

Oil drain to sump for oil accumulating in lifter gallery.

That is a drain back from valley to t/chain area I would cut more of the lip off the bottom of the hole
mostly the cause on the OLDS for milk shake is a poorly seeled intake and to much pressure in coolling system Good luck with the build
I do have a set of KA marine heads and a 30 over short block with forged pistons also a marine block ;D

thanks guys for the info, might consider the short block, checking the damage under the heads :banghead:
