Do any hardware stores carry these?

Probably not.

I have used Hiem joints that I picked up from McMaster Carr before. That looks like a Mr. Gasket or a Holley. They suck. Basically for the reason you are experiencing.

do yourself a favor and get a stainless one.  the last thing you want is a rusty throttle cable sticking...

Meh... To each his own, but stainless is too brittle for me. I like steel.... They have the chrome ones too....  O0

For about 1/3 the price tag. :sly:

how much force are you putting on your throttle cable that you need it to be grade 8 steel?  you got a heavy foot!   ^-^

I'm heading out early tomorrow morning. Won't have time to order and wait. I might just have to drill through this one and put a bolt through it.

Mcmaster sells everything.  If they had food, no other businesses would exist.

Search "rod end" on their website and you'll see exactly what you're looking for

Lucas oil drag boat requires a steel cable end. Either way they work. McMaster Carr is the place
