Title: To the Bubble Deck Chevy guys
Post by: East County Kona on January 25, 2015, 12:34:44 PM
Curious to know what oil pan you guys are running? Will the 10qt RV oil pan fit? I have a 79 Crusader and Glenwood mounts. I've never seen this hull with an engine mounted. Doesn't look like a lot of room will be left under the block.

Thanks!

I have a Dooley on mine and  Hamburger on the marathon motor. They are both only 6 1/4" deep I believe. The pan you are taking about is likely 8" deep and without having the motor forward, will not clear the intake.

IMHO the Hamburger is a superior pan, but I would run either and expect the same results...

Good luck!

Thank you gentlemen, looks like a pan is about to get ordered. Didn't think the RV pan would fit but thought it would be worth while to check.

Thanks again!
Tim

Yea it seriously looks like someone built it though ...
Like the inside has a windage tray I think it's called and that's held in with Zeus fittings
And it has all the baffles/flappy doors that I see all the big boy custom pans have
And it takes 12 and it's right at full on the dipstick
