Title: top mount starter

are top mount starters all the same for a BBC? How do i know which one to buy? where do i buy one? i have a 4 point mount set up. im tired of my bottom mount failing if it gets wet.

It will probably be the Mercruiser starter motor.  Worst case scenario, you could provide IMI with a measurement from the flange surface to the ring gear, and they could provide you with the correct part.
