About 1/3 of the way down the page it shows the torque sequence.

http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/11/bc/70/0900823d8011bc70/repairInfoPages.htm#hd1-1-1

Each bolt is torqued to 80 ft lbs in 3 steps.

2Sav,  That's how I did mine too only I didn't have my torque wrench until the next day and I still have the feel.  Only missed a few by a couple of pounds.  Glad you got it done.

Well its all back together and ready for somebodys car/truck , i got a guy coming down to look at it. I told him $850

If he buys it, i have another block waiting for me to build..... Now i just need to get  a good rotating assembly. Im hoping by the middle or end of summer this boat will get wet ;)

Jus bring me the parts you have and your budget. Is 429 heads doing yer heads? I've seen cranks for sale lately, I would recomend "H" beam rods and forged pistons but stock shit will work fine for what you are doing.

Yeah he is doing my heads. I was leaning to the H beams and forged pistons or atleast the forged pistons... However i will need a crank.  I will know more after this guy shows up, i also have it on ebay so we shall see.

If i for some reason cant sell it for what i want.. I will tear it down and rebuild it with Forged pistons , H beams..But dont know yet, its up in the air...

I have two 454 BBC cast cranks. I can bring them both to Terry's in a few days, pick out which one you want, and you can have it (free). I also have two or three flexplates laying around so if you're going to need one let me know and I can bring that (free) also. I think that both cranks need to be turned, less than $100 each.

A stock 454 cast crank is good for at least 700 HP. Phuk GM rods, dimples, whatever, they are too many H-Beams out there that are too inexpensive to buy.

There is a lot of talk on here by people that dont know the situation on the motor he just sold.  It was a huge p.o.s. that the guy that built it lied to him about.  Nothing matched, bearings had some scarring on them, cast pistons(probably not balanced), the list goes on guys.  I really cant blame him for selling it and doing everything right for a change.
