What up guys! Im gonna pull the BBC 454 out of my Crusader within the next week to do some work on it and i wanted to add a remote filter mount kit to it while its out. Ive been looking around at different sites and im sort of confused as to which one to get.....do different gens call for different kits? Any kit i should stay away from? Should i stick to single or do dual filters? Thanks guys 

I believe the gens are different also. I think gen 5/6 motors are different then gen 4. I know the motors are different and some parts do not interchange im not sure about the oil filters.

Why are you going remote with possibly 2 filters?

I still have to pull the cast numbers off to even find out what gen it is haha. I dont want to go the 2 filter route but ive seen others that have. i was just trying to figure out the best options out there 

Dual double deep filters adds oil capacity.
Amsoil makes a killer remote kit with a built in bypass filter to clean down to the micron if you were considering going synthetic, a little but pricey, but it is the complete kit and is marine grade powder coated billet aluminum.

Might consider also looking into an oil cooler while you're at it.
