Title: Tunnel ram Vacume pressure
Post by: angermgmt on September 07, 2016, 03:25:30 PM: Just curious what everyone is getting. I'm trying to get my carbs tuned after rebuilding. Any help is appreciated. B

What do you need the info for? Manifold vacuum on a TR is very odd, it's different depending on where you take the reading.

It's irrelevant, different for every engine in the world. Cam profile, idle speed, exhaust pressure, ignition timing, engine load, cam timing all come into play.

Someone else's vacuum number will be totally useless to you.

What are you fighting?

The more advanced the idle timing, the less throttle blade you need in it.

You should never adjust idle mix out of the water anyway. There's no load, you will just end up redoing it.

Launch @ The Riverside- sure beats that Katherines wait/walk.

Mines at ~900 rpm at idle. Not a T-ram. on the trailer its at ~1100.
Heavy azz sled here, It helps at the docks and no wake zones.
