put a vacume plug on it, you dont need the vacume advance in a jet boat

Capping it works
One of these delivers more accurate spark delivery.

Recurving the Mechanical advance for a jet boat would be a good idea too

I was told not only to cap it....but it needs to be physically locked. I pulled mine half shut....stuck a washer between the rod that moves and the other metal part and welded it. Petronix make a part just for this that replaces the vacuum canister...and its only like 6 bucks....but it was backorded and I didnt feel like waiting.
