Title: Valve cover baffels
Post by: koby686 on June 01, 2016, 08:23:39 AM
Does anyone know where I can buy the baffels for these valve covers? The guy I bought them from must have taken them out and oil is spitting everywhere threw the breather with out the baffels. Or does anyone have or know of a alternative aftermarket baffle kit that will work with these valve covers.

Make your own plate... thin piece of scrap metal from the local metal supply might be a buck. I made some stainless for my holley 460 covers for .50. Red lock tight... Are you running at least a 1/2+ qt low from max?

Your mom, that was my plan if I could not find any. I'm running 6qts in a stock pan.

Ford lover that would be bad ass, would make it much easier!

Got some material and made them out of aluminum. Anyone else who has these covers are your holes Inside tapped? These ones are not I wonder if the guy before didn't know how to tap it and is why they are not in. Anyways got it all dialed in. Thank you ford lover for the offer of sending yours but I got it all sorted!

So your running 6qts in a 6qt pan? If so take 1/2qt out. If you have a stock dip stick, keep the reading roughly in the middle. I'd consider getting a 10qt pan an run 9. If you have over trans headers you could install a evap or puke tank.

Yea, I am running the stock pan with the full amount of oil. I want to get a 10qt I just have to measure the clearance it's pretty tite in There. I bought a puke tank it came in and it's way to small. With the baffels in no oil comes out of the valve covers anymore. I went for a quick test this after noon not a drop of oil came out.
