MSD Ignition Question (Simple)
« on: June 13, 2007, 08:52:21 PM »
I can get a brand new MSD 6AL box for $125. (good deal) Is there any reason why this would not be ideal for a jet boat?? I was looking at the MSD Marine set up which is about $750 complete and the only thing I noticed that was different is a weather conections. I can get a rev limiter for fairly cheap so should I buy it?? I also noticed it has a rev limiter built in.

As far as I know a lot of people run them in jet boats.  That what I'm going to if my Accel stuff gives out

What's up with the included 3500, 6000, 7000, and 8000 RPM chips? Do they offer more options, I've never looked (yet).

Yes they do . Speedshops and summit and jegs . I'm gonna need a bunch too.

Jason - That is a great deal . I just picked up a 6al box too , brand new. Just dont let it get wet . I dont know why but everyone say they are better than the ml's .

Ok good I will go buy it. I gotta drive to Fresno (about and hour) and go get it. He was askin $150 firm but he took $125 since I have to make a short trip. Do these get to hot? I was thinking of mounting it  up under the bow maybe??
    Thanks Guys
