I just saw this and wondered what anyone thought about the offer. I have talked to the guys at Mondello and they don't seem to keen on the Edelbrock offerings. Thoughts anybody . . .

if you look at Mondellos website it looks as though the Edelbrock head was a joint venture. http://www.mondellotwister.com/edelhds.html. but then again there was a time my dad had a Mondello catalog where every part was worth x amount of horsepower. Think we figures out with all the cool bolt ons we could add about 200 horses to his stocker. ;D
Those people in the ebay link look like they are producing more of a replacement, but it seems a bit pricey at 2400 unless your missing casting from a numbers car, still not the same i guess.

That looks like a set of casting plugs not the heads themselves.

You meen you dont thing they'll hold up to the heat? :D I looked at it a couple of times too, but if you really read into it, it look like they'er trying to get pre-orders before they cast em. They state "We stress that we do not want any money up front; the day we ship, will be the day we will bill you"

Once maybe, until the molten aluminum hits them. LMAO!!! I don't know that I would trust someone to cast me a set of heads that had to sell on eBay. ;D ;D ;D

Hey, ebay is cheap advertizing with great exposure, good way to get your foot in the door

Ebay Afterthought: but for every honest person on ebay, there are two dishonest, one dumbass(misinformation), and one that is selling way too cheap cause they dont know what they got.
-
IMO, I wouldn't pay that (even if I had it) for stock heads. For a person with a jet boat looking for better heads the original heads from the late 60's and early 70's are still out there and less expensively available. The only way I would even think about spending that is if I had a mint 442 or mint W-30 that needed them.

I thought it was very plain and simple but I will explain it for people like Jet Lover >:D They haven't casted them yet. The pic is showing the mold. They had a nearly 100% rating on Ebay and I agree with Josh, it is cheap advertising. They may be spendy but they claim to be a quality product 100% Made in USA. I came across them from a link on realoldspower about building a 650 HP pump gas motor. Some of you guys are too lazy to read the ad, geezus!

Sorry, I'm guilty but only because I was just interested in seeing what was being offered. :-[ I do some casting as well but not on that level. I also do some anodizing and CNC work. Mine is for hobby and a few friends.

No worries GAW, I was just trying to jerk the chain of a certain newbie. I had just finished reading his posts before going back to the thread I started this morning. What kinds of things have you cast? Pics?

As long as they don't bring down the price of the pair of "F" heads I'm about to sell I don't mind. If I were restoring an old Olds though it would suck to think you had authentic heads and later someone figures out how to tell the difference from the real ones.

Kinda like photocopied money, huh
