going to swap out my tiny pump for a full size holley (i think) pump, do i need a pressure regulator and what should it be set at?  7psi? does it need to be close to the carb or can it be down by the pump or mounted to the stringer bracket? 

5-7 psi....try it without a regulator....if your too high, call me and I'll find you a regulator.  I've got a gauge too if you need one

Just route the hoses away from any heat source, I like to put them in front of the engine down low (keeps fluid head on the inlet of the pump...)..

7 PSI is sufficient, make sure your needle/seat can hold it back though.

i got a holley 650cfm carb with a holley fuel pump and it runs 6-7psi.. i also called holley and they said that good pressure a good pressure to run.. but not to go over 8.. if you do then you need a regulator

i think its a fuel pump.  enough to get me around for a little while.  i dunno pat said it worked for him.  i hooked it to a battery and it whirled away.  so it works.  we'll see what happens.  ill hit it up on the wheel, dont worry it'll shine right up.
