Sorry for the crappy drawing, but this is how my 454 jetboat is rigged for cooling! Haven't had a problem yet with cooling, but was told from a friend that this is incorrectly routed, can someone please point me in the right direction!

Your friend is correct. the line running to your headers needs to come from your dump leaving the block not the incoming line.

Ok thank you

That's how mine are, although the 2nd gate valve is a ball valve @ the drivers' seat, and no 'Bassett tee'.
Does It milkshake the oil?
Is your H2O temp stable and predictable?

I have never had a problem with milkshake oil, oil looks good everytime I change it, and water temp stays consistent

Is there a particular waterline Size to run? Or can you throw any size hose in the mix?

Mines 1/2", and header water is 1/4"
There is 2 thru transom dumps (1/2") on the 454.

Line size and needs change for the amount of HP you run. I come in with a -8 and I run two -8 dumps. I had one -8 dump before but the boat ran a little hot. I run dry headers but if I had to run wet I would run one of my -8 dump to a valve at the drivers seat from there to a Basset Tee -8 in two -6 out one each to the headers. This is just how I do it I also have a gate valve at the pump and a pressure relief valve with a -8 dump.
