Title: Water lines

The PO had a cluster F$&K of -8 and -10 AN lines pieced together and now I'm trying to redo them and wondering what size I should be using??  It's going from a Berk 12jb to a Pontiac 400

I was told -8 in and -10 out would work good and I've had good results. But that's just what I'm running, not saying it's right

running all -10 here.  just know that every bend, every 90* angle cuts down on flow.

-10 on my rig as well, ran -8 for a while but wasn't liking the pressure build up in the block.  I've seen many different set ups and both sizes are used without any issues, should be fine with the larger.

-8 in and -10 our works great on river boats. iam running -10 in and -12 out on the race boat

Thanks for all the info guys...  I decided on buying all new -10 fittings to replace my old ones so I'll be running -10 in and out.  Purchased a new 3/4" gate valve with 1/2" reducers for the -10 fittings and hopefully will be plumbing it soon

For some reason the app won't let me start a new topic...  Does anybody in the Riverside/Corona area have a 3/8 npt tap I could borrow??  I want to clean out the threads before I install my new fittings

Are my exh logs supposed to be water tight??  Lol  I would think they should be but if I blow in one fitting and plug the other I can hear air escaping thru the front cap

I will be in yorba Linda tonight and bought a badass 3/8 npt when I did my water lines. PM me you're number I'll let you borrow it

what a lucky set of exhaust logs...    ^-^  my wife wont even do that for me anymore.



yes they sould be air/water tight.  on my riser i found a pinhole leak and poked it with a screwdriver a few times and it revealed a giant 1" hole.  that wouldve killed a weekend at the lake for sure.

so you're gonna run a -10 hose and fittings but drop all your NPT fittings down to 3/8"?  -10 has an ID of a little more than 1/2".  I have all 1/2" fittings... you might as well just save money and do -8 if you're gonna have a bunch of 3/8" bottlenecks.

They're all already 3/8 npt...  I'm just replacing all the fittings and making them all the same
