Title: What is the purpose of this?

Just thought I'd ask what this does it's connected to the terminal block...it has a button on it. I'm just it resets something but I have no idea what.

Sorry the pic is blurry my phone cam lens is scratched!

It is a reset for you wiring.  If you short something out or have a loose wire somewhere that button will trip.  Bottom line if you have to reset that breaker there is something wrong or shorted.  Check for loose wire or shorted wiring

I use one also I my boat.  If everything is good you should never have to push that to reset

Thanks! I've never had to reset it. Just wasn't sure what it did.

Good deal and don't remove it.  It's a safety button for a short in the wiring of your boat.  In a case if you loose power to the boat first thing check that button.  If it is tripped again you could have a loose wire or short and also I've seen water trip them also.  It's a good thing to keep.
