Title: what spark plug and gap are you bbc'ers running?

i usually stick to a basic plug set to .040.  run of the mill bbc here

i gotta pickup some plugs and some oil tonight and get ready to start 'er up.

I run the Accell 274's I believe, gap .35

Make sure you get the correct "reach" plug for your heads. I have the 049 oval ports and run ac delco R43t, which are the short reach.

Long reach=.750
Short reach=.460

Been running Autolite 26 in my 049 heads for years.  Gap varies (.035-.040) depending on what ignition I'm running.

I run .018 in mine. 1966 396 heads. :-). But I run a mag
