Drained for Winter ??

 350 SBC , opened a drain valve, drivers side block
                removed a threaded plug, passenger side block
                disconnected tee-to-intake @ transom
                disconnected water lines beneath both snails

                 dropped roughly a gallon or more of water (and a little sand)
                 knelt and prayed to the water gods...
   
                 am I missing anything   :screwy:

The sand will keep coming out if you turn water on/off and even use a straw or similar devise to shove in the hole to break free any debris as the water is coming out. I usually get a coffee cup or so (TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET MOST OF IT OUT) out of my block every season and I don't beach it. I also fill block back up with vinegar/water during off season. I take my carb off and run mystery oil thru it and drain gas tank. The only way to get the water out of logs is to pull them off motor and hold up right...

I use 'pink'  (rv) antifreeze in the block/logs. I unhook the line from the pump, add a 3' section, and add antifreeze until it comes out the transom/exhaust. It takes about 3 gallons, and is enviromentaly friendly, no need to drain in the spring. I've never had a cracked block from freezing.

Oil change
grease pump
grease wheel bearings
charge batteries for the elec. fuel pump. (I use the ~25 gallons on gas in the Jeep, generator, tractor etc. all winter)
