Those are called 180* headers.  They make a big block sound like a formula 1 car.  YouTube it.

Hmm is it me or do these make a bb sound like a Honda. I've checked out a couple of videos and I gotta say I'm not impressed.

Well given I did watch the videos on my cell phone and the vids on YouTube were not of best quality. Does anybody have a link to a hd video off these in action?

I'm not sure there is a video that can do them justice!  These do make that engine sound like an Formula 1 car, pretty wild when you get the rpm's up there.  Not sure about the ones posted above as they don't look to be connected to one collector at the exit, they may sound more like typical headers.  Madskillz's headers enptied into the same collector which help produce such a wild sound.  Nick may have a video of them from back when they were on his boat, maybe he will chime in.

Those headers do make an audible difference in the exhaust note, a little higher and tinnier; however, the purpose is to bring in a little more back pressure to get more low end torque.  Sprint boats use them fairly often.

Yep those things have to built piece by piece. From what I've learned so far the kit alone by kit I mean, different length pipes straight 45 degree 90 degree etc, is about 400 alone. Then you have the fabrication time which in pretty sure is almost as much if not more. Oh I forgot the kit only comes in raw material so there's another 300 for ceramic coating them not to mention the flanges to bolt them up too your heads oh and did I mention the couple if weeks without your boat cause every time a pipe gets added it needs to be test fitted. Worst case 2000 best case 1500...am I wrong here.

Guess Id save about $300, is do ceramic coating. Ya Im sure there awful expensive no doubt. My broher in law is a master fabricator and he might try to make me a set this winter.

For 2k I say you hop in clist and get yourself a blower, tack on some zoomies and voila great sound and call it a life. Those things sound bad don't get me wrong but after calling numerous fabricators welders imo not worth the money.

Yep that's the problem...sure those headers can be made but it's a matter of finding a really good fabricator and a actually him not charging you your first born to put up with all the bs that's involved in making a set like that. If you knew how to throw down some nice beeds and had the right equipment you could do it in 2 weekends and about 400 bucks yourself nit including the coating of course.

If your bro in law has the patience and k knowledge to get it done I'd say that's your best bet. Keep us posted.

I know him personally and I have seen his work and had some work of his on my daytona. The headers are not cheap and mainly thats because parts collectors alone are not cheap and as someone said either is material. The headers sound amazing and for 2k, you can't replicate that sound with a blower. And if someone knows where there is a blower with carbs, belt, pulleys, zoomies,  and manifold for 2k let me know because ill buy 2
