Title: Will this work on a BBC

I found this thing on Ebay and wnated to use it on my gen 4 454.  My motor plate has the mount for it.   the person on the other end of the listing isn't understanding what I am asking as far as bolt pattern and about the gear movement in the starter.  he keeps telling me it is a marine starter.....clearly

I would ask about the rotation. And look at your starter at the nose, If it looks the same or not.  It says gen vi. Check the specs out on google compared to yours.
