Fuel tank question ?

How big of fuel tanks can I install in a 18' Southwind it currently has two 11gal tanks that's never going to cut it. With a cruising rpm of 4000. I'll be lucky to get from topock to jack smith and back. Would it be worth adding a tank under the bow? Thanks Maloney

I got 2 12 gallon tanks and can go from London bridge to pirates cove and back and still have a 1/4 tank and that's with being on it.

I have a 30g belly tank and its balanced just fine.

Have a 20 gallon belly tank in the Tahiti and went from Laughlin to Pirates on 9 gallons. Then from Pirates to the river delta at Havasu and back to the Avi before she began to sputter. That was mostly cruising around 3k with some WFO passes every now and then.

22 gallons should be fine. But if your worried about fuel maybe you should look into an i/o. I have 2 12 gallon tanks but only put about 10 in each and I do just fine for my boating habits, dragging a tube, knee board, cruising and floating.

However I do have a small 10 gallon imco tank that mounts between the stringers Im not gonna use and willing to get rid of.
