IF your wiring a boat from scratch. Does anyone know of a "UNIVERSAL" harness(like painless wiring) for cars. I've done it from scratch before but if there is an eaiser way i'm all over it. ???

Hardin Marine makes a universal dash harness. That's what I used on my boat...most of the wires were there, I just had to add a few for some add on stuff I was doing to my boat. You can get one at CP Performance.

I built mine from scratch using the Boating association wire colors. I got some wire at West Marine. Way to pricy. I then orderd wires at McMaster Carr as well as my shrink tubing connectors.
You can see some of my wiring on my Jet Boat Tech page.

They run about $239, and from the electrical issues you've told me you have, I'd say so.
For enough beer and liquor I'd make the drive down there and wire her up for ya! :D

There's a new wiring harness over in the spam section at Hotboat.com. Its under - more parts - by CP Dad. Says he only wants a 100.00 for it, and its long enough for a 21 footer.
