Oil question

I just acquired a case of max life synthetic blend 20/50 oil it was a freeby I run 30 weight Mobil 1 in the  boat so that one is covered can I run it In my 2010 honda accord 4 cylinder or my wife's ford edge v6 my concern is the oil weight the ford has 60 k honda 130k and we're talking ca weather cond thanks for any input

You could technically however Id wait a long time for everything to reach operating temp before driving it.  Those motors are made for multigrade 5-20 or so though.  The multigrade works great cuz the vescosity of the oil lubes well during first fire up and while warm.  Back in the day the straight weight was ran cuz we run our boats hard and the heavy weight better protects but lubes have come a long way.
Id run it in the boat before the car.

most cars these days are 5w20 or 10w40 or synthetic equivalent.  20w50 is some think stuff for general automotive use... not gonna work well.

Put it away. 20/50 is for the old chevy truck or car. If you run your boat hard then straight weight is still the way to go!

I run 20/50 in my ShovelHead, and my EVO Chopper. Takes longer for them to "Mark their spot" that way. Ha

Will that's why it was free oil he had no need for it will could always run it in the boat on the next oil change
