Shoot I think cp performance has a full diagram of the wiring. I'd suggest to Google bbc or bbf or bbo jet boat wiring diagram. Pretty sure you'll find something. Print it and check it wire by wire. Old cracked dried wires should be replaced. Easy business. Good luck.

The hot on the term block must go through that breaker first. its labeled batt but it goes through the breaker to the batt to protect the system in the event of a short.

Top side of what? After the hot goes through the breaker and back out to term block it'll feed main hot up to your dash wiring

Also, How many wires are there in the harness before the term block? Should be 7 or 8.....

#1. Red/Pink 10ga (Constant Hot)
#2. Black 14ga (Ground)
#3. White 10ga (Start Solenoid)
#4. Orange 10ga (hot for alt. and amp gauge, not used if running volt gauge)
#5 Purple 16ga Ignition hot (Key on) For dist. or elec fuel pump
#6 Gray 16ga tach signal
#7 Blue 16ga Oil press signal
#8 brown 16ga Temp sender signal

My numbering order may differ from actual diagrams, but you get the idea.

Yes 1 wire on alt.. i hav volt on dash....and 7 wires in harness before the block
