Title: Zoomie's or twisty's ???
Post by: 2savage4you on August 30, 2007, 05:59:48 PM
Ok i just listed my logs on ebay and i want to go with headers for the new motor. Now i was thinking the Zoomie's look really cool but are they so loud that i wont like them or is it just as loud as the headers are?

I know headers fire to the rear so they arent as loud right. Who's got Zoomies and likes them??

Unless you have a blown deal and even then , zoomies will probably hurt you more than they help.

Unless you are running a blower engine I would advise aginst the zoomies!
I got through transome bassett's and I LOVE them.

i run 108 octane, and at the river i had baffles in. i'd like to hear the reasoning behind this, or yeah our super comp car runs 121 and has a set of borola baffles over 1000hp so you tell me :-\

I think its called rotary park.

But before they changed it into a park it was called the cable crossing ;D  Lots of beers back then.

Now you have to be politically correct and act right :o

sorry friend, i just think that you have been mislead and i was just trying to point out that you can use baffles with race gas even in a race application. ;)

no zoomies on unblown motors, u'll make more power w/ the twisties...also no zoomies unless u can see the oilpan from the side of your boat! which u may be in good shape there w/ the daytona...

dont worry, when the time is right, i will refer to this thread and it will all come together.

until then, dont worry about my coment.

and yes, this is a jet forum, but there are v-drive and outboard owners here....thats what makes this place so great....everyone gets along.

I saw on of those OBs today didn't I Steve ? It was a real nice Lavey Tunnel with a bad ass 2.5L and the guy said is was some special Factory built race motor, 305hp @ 8K rpms. That thing sounded real mean. :o It almost sounded like it had a cam in it.
