Title: 1962 Pontiac 389 engine 303hp (36P code)
Post by: lbhsbz on July 13, 2010, 07:55:22 PM
Anyone restoring something old?  Anyone want a poncho motor?

I haven't had the heads off, but the oil looks clean and it's clean under the V-covers.

Also have glenwood cast 4 point mounting setup and edelbrock logs, edelbrock intake mani, unilite distributor, holley 600 carb.

Make offer.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH !!!

Did Ray put you up to this?   He made you post the Pontiac swag didn't he?

I shouldn't ask, but what kinda shape are the mounts and logs in?

I think I might know someone interested in the motor.   Was it running?   Do you know any history at all?

I guess I'll have to take some pictures and post 'em up for some motivation.  Comon Glasscutter...you could really use this thing.  I might try to fire it up tonight too...post a video of it running.  Of course if it runs, the price goes up. ;D

It is much easier to say NO to the motor than the accessories.   I have a 455 from a 73 T/A already that needs a rebuild.    But I have a friend with a very obscure 62ish Pontiac that might just be interested in the motor if it runs OK.   I forgot what this heap is but it does have an IRS type rearend and some other real crazy stuff.
