This is a completely stock engine with the only exceptions being the intake and the Ignitor ignition module. This is basically the same engine that I had in my Miller. I drove that boat for hours straight, I just kept the RPM's at or below 4,000 RPM's with short occasional 5,000++ RPM blast's.
just curious....you went to the extent to rebuild the engine....why didnt you rebuild the carb as well?
This engine is not rebuilt, it's been thoroughly checked a given a clean bill of health.
Not a big deal on this site but on eBay over thousand feedbacks is a lot of transactions, so basicaly I stake my reputation on this engine. Neither Marc nor I rebuild carbs, we take them apart, clean them the best we can, and then get them to run. A properly rebuilt carb is more than disassembling it and spraying carb cleaner and then compressed air through the ports and jets.
If my boat were a V hull this engine would not be for sale. But as my tunnel hull and this engine sit, I'd need to get a lot of parts to be able to install it. I'd rather have the BBC that my boat is set-up for.
