Title: 429/460 Valve covers
Post by: Rooster Tail on October 17, 2021, 08:13:23 AM
I have a beautiful set of Ford SVO ford racing valve covers. These are no longer available in this style and are vintage 1980 style covers. These are not high polished like most but are done in a black wrinkle finish, I can post pictures later looking for $300.00 shipping included. Sorry no Venmo payments just got burned so Paypal only accepted no friends and family.
Pictures coming soon

here are some more details and pictures. These are 4.5 tall not sure why the wrinkle finish is different but they still look nice

I have the same style, but mine only has the breather on the top.  Are the holes on the side for a catch can?

I am not sure why they did that. The breather was located on the top of the port valve cover in the forward position and the PVC valve was located on the top of the STBD valve cover also in the forward position These holes would have been towards the back side of the engine .
I am not sure if they had fabricated longer tubes at one time for extended breathers or not or possibly they had tried to setup a catch can as you described.
I was going to just use push in plugs but found a set of M/T finned aluminum covers which I like better.
