Title: 454
Post by: River Dad on December 14, 2008, 08:08:14 PM
454 with pan, valve covers, intake, and a holley carb for $1000.   Turns over nice and smooth and has compression.  Stock motor with hyd cam.  Would make a good ski boat or cruiser motor.  2 bolt  cast crank and pistons.

Also have a stock 454 rotating assembly, std bore, pistons, rods, and std crank.  Good shape and ready to run.  $300 obo

Sorry, should have posted that....  Mark IV ....   Looks to be in decent shape...  I wouldn't drop it in a race boat and go roundy round endurance racing without going thru it, but should be ok for a river/lake deal.  Like I said, it's a stock comp hyd cam deal so it's only good to about 5k, but can't beat the price!!!!   Includes a double pumper Holley and the manifold...  Not bad for $750 ;D

Trade you for a complete 12JCA Berkeley pump! I have a couple different intakes (round and flat) TA the whole deal, it's fresh with a newer bearing, impeller (aluminum A), packing and grease seals, came from my boat and has like one season on it (under 40 hours).

Otherewise that is a sweet deal, cannot believe its still there..

Would you be interested in a 1960 Savage Model 99f .308 rifle for the 454?

Original and near excellent condition.

Ok I'm mixing posts :P     The rotating assembly is now $150.   The other post includes a block, heads, rotating assembly, pan, intake manifold, etc.   It's a .020 over two bolt ready to be cleaned and reassembled with new gaskets and bearings.   That one is $250.    I'm ready to get this crap outa my garage!

Thanks Jason for the motor. I pulled the rod bearings of to inspect and they looked good! I can also still see the hone marks in the cylinder walls. This must have been freshened up not too long ago! I already have plans for it. My dad has a set off 990 heads that have work done to them, and a nice roller cam, plus I have a few other goodies too.

Great,  nice to meet ya yesterday Nick!  Good luck with it....   The other motor sold as well to a future circle boat hall of famer. ;D   The goal is to have as many of my parts in the boats on these boards as I can so that I'm alway's gauranteed a ride at the river!!  God knows I have no time to work on my own stuff!  LOL

Thanks Jason. After blowing up the motor in the Advantage at Puddingstone, I need to start getting something together for it.
One day soon the family is going to ask what happen to their river trips.

Tio, after I go thru things and decide which parts i'm going to use, i'll let you know what I have to sell.
