Title: 454 BBC Motor minus carb!

I have a 454 BBC for sale, pulling it out of my Kachina. I just bought a day cruiser with a 460 and i need the money. Also selling the hull, it has a big crack that needs to be re-glassed. Don't know much about the motor. I know it runs like a bat out of hell, only got to use it twice last season. fresh oil. Make me an offer!

As much as I would like to have it for another project I have going I can't afford it at this time.  But it could be worth it for you to do a little research on the engine. 

Check engine and cylinder head casting numbers to confirm what they are
Pull a valve cover to see if it has roller rockers
Does it have a stock type oil pan or a large capacity pan

Just knowing a few things about the engine will make it easier for you to ask more money for it.

Did some looking into the motor.
Block# 12550313...454.......91-up, Gen. V crate motor, Gen. VI 4.25" bare block, fuel pump bos
Head# 10114156   1991-up   454   Open chamber   118cc   gen.V
has weiand high rise intake manifold
and as far as i could tell it did not have roller rockers...

so lets hear it. whats my motor worth in the forums opinion?

What's the fresh oil about? Was there chocolate milk in there last?

no i just changed the oil when i bought it. the oil looked clean but i wasnt sure what was in it so i changed it. just checked the oil today while pulling the valve covers and it still looks fresh.

asking $4000 obo for the whole package, $1000 obo for just the motor and headers, $3000 obo for just the hull.

  Does anyone know what happened to this guy ?    I was working a deal on this whole package, price was set, was just trying to set up a date/time to do the deal and he dropped off the face of the earth (hasn't been on line sense the 20th and I dont have a phone # for him).
