Title: 454 motor wanted

Hi,I just got a 19' nordic jet boat w/no motor.set up 4 bbc...this is my first bb jet boat....I need a motor...I have looked into bbc from cars but im told no good..I run rivers on east coast no salt...I would love any info....I would like to blow up a cheap motor first off....

Welcome to SCJB  ;D

The main difference between a street engine and a jet boat engine (open cooling system) is going to be the bearing & ring tolerences.

If the automotive engine is older with some miles on it, it will probably live for a while.  You will find that it will need to be up graded to give you any performance though.

ive had good luck stoping by peoples homes who got a bunch of junk cars and asking what there plans are for them thats how i got all my cores
