Hey GT you seem to be the go to guy for knowledge around here the boat we pulled it out of is a 78 pioneer how are those boats he's not sure if he should sell the boat are keep the south wind we drove almost to fresco to pick it up any info would be awesome thanks

Honest opinion, depending on which Pioneer and which Southwind, they should be similar hulls.
If either is a full stringer hull, that to me would have a leg up on the other.
I personally have a soft spot for Southwind hulls, but I've seem some nice Pioneers.
Without the advantage of touch, taste and smell, it's a little hard to say for sure.
I'm trying to work out some logistics on getting down south with a Place Diverter.
