Ford 460 stock long block with Edelbrock Performer manifold and Holley 4 barrel carb. Came running out of an F250 truck. Motor turns over very smooth and has good compression. Would make a good ski boat or cruiser motor. $800 obo

I don't enjoy raining on your parade but the boat guys should be informed that the engine pictured hanging from the hoist has late-model 460 FI heads on it, which means that boat headers and boat thru-transom logs will not properly fit this engine as it is configured. It is interesting that the small-port Edelbrock Performer even allows the engine to run because there is usually a port mis-match between the carburetted intakes and the FI heads (huge vacuum leak from the lifter valley into the intake runners), so the ports on that intake must be small indeed.

Good buy for 8 bill's... I think that almost anyone can tell what it is by the valve cover bolt pattern
IMO ;)..The block/rot assy is worth the price........As with any other engine , if I might add.. the wrong manifold/head
combination will never port match...pretty sure most these guys no this...just to comment on the port mismatch again,
that does not in my view prevent the engine from running properly, just not at it's full potential.
For example :..Tuned port Corvette engines came with 3/8 interference between intake and heads.
Just port match everything and it's all good :) :)

Thanks for the info Lakes, I'm not much of a Ford guy. If I had another set of heads I'd throw them in. Will the early heads bolt up? If so, I'll let it go for 600. That way, the buyer can find a proper set of heads... RD

The early heads are indeed a bolt-on deal. Also, this engine ought to have a factory double-roller timing chain in it.
