Yes if you put your boat engine in your street car or vise versa they will immediately turn into hand granades!!!!  All engines are like Yoda, they can sense the change in the force!!!!  😅😅😅😅 carry on....

This is a funny statement.  Since all of us that build our own shit have a good idea how it works!!!  When you write the check for your hi dollar build you only know what you were told!!!!

I personally know Andy at Hardcore. He really does know his shit

So long as the engine clearances are on the looser side, I wouldn't hesitate to run it in a boat

Maybe he can share the engine clearances with us

Hi Jim my mistake, i copied and pasted a previous ad of mine from CL for a street rod engine, you are correct they are different, Street has different clearances and ring gaps, boat engines are built like drag race engines or street/strip(i will go back and edit AD

This one is a boat application with correct clearances for Boat application

In the original post before Hardcore1 edited it, said the motor was built for a street car.

Ill be glad to steve, ive been designing and building engines for 40 years 300HP to 3000HP and this is what works for us at Hardcore with no problems

street only engines
Main and Rod clearances .0022-.0026
Ring gaps no NOS top .020 2nd .022

Street/Strip/boat up to 700HP
Main and rods .0028-.0030
Ring gaps Top.022 2nd .024

Drag race/Boat over 700HP
Main and rods top .0032-.0035
Ring gaps aspirated .026-028

Nos/blower/turbo increase ring clearances by
700-1100hp .006-008
1100-1300HP .008-010
1300-2500HP. custom gaping depending on applications

The engine we are talking about is set up for the street/strip/boat clearances
