502 GM crate motor 500HP
This started out as a 502HO (450HP) with only 5 hrs use (we sold customer a 650HP custom engine and took this in trade
We took the motor and completely striped it down and blueprinted it our way
Block Work
Block was hot tank and honed for correct piston clearance and deck/Mains checked for size
Rings moly and gapped to our specs for marine use
Pistons are SRP's they were cleaned and domes polished (to help stop carbon build up and anti detonation)
Rods GM 502 forged dimple rods with 7/16 bolts, these were checked for size
Crank GM forged, crank was checked and micro polished and balanced to our specs
Bearings Cleveite H series clearances set at .0028 mains and rods
Cam was upgraded to the ZZ502 cam
Heads are 12562934 GM marine heads, these were pocket ported and 3 angle valve job done with our special cutters then rebiult with more spring pressure and set up for the extra valve lift of the ZZ502 cam
Oil pan Dooley full 10qt marine
Oil pump was upgraded to Melling M77HV hi volume pump and HD drive shaft with steel collar
Rockers crane alum 1.7 ratio
Valve covers polished alum marine with breathers
Intake Weiand Stealth
Carb Demon 850cfm
Distributor MSD marine
Wires Taylor 9mm

Sorry my mistake its a 505 not 595 (guess i hit the wrong key lol)
The 505ci is a GEN VI short block with scat forged crank and Scat forged H Beam rods and Icon forged pistons with total Seal rings and assembled with Clevite H series bearing, all clearances and ring gaps are set up for Marine use $2950
The 496 is a short block GEN V and it has a Eagle cast steel crank with Scat I beam forged rods and Race Tech forged pistons $2650
Both of the engines i can make complete i have all the parts needed ready to assemble, i have some very low use GM Marine "394" heads which have had fresh valve job, resurfaced and ported, Intake is a Weiand Stealth and carb is a Demon 750, i have Polished alum tall valve covers angled for wet headers, a MSD distributor with Taylor 9mm wires price is $6500 for the 505 or $6200 for the 496

Hi yes i have a 496 short block NEW with Gen V block, eagle steel crank, eagle I beam forged rods and Custom forged pistons, moly rings, Speed Pro bearings, cam bearing and freeze plugs installed in the block, its all machined just needs assembled, you can buy as a kit $2700 or i can blueprint it and assemble $2950, this is designed for Alum 119cc heads with 11:1cr to run on 91 octane fuel
Also have a 496 complete engine being built right now designed to run on 91 octane, with Eagle steel crank, H beam forged rods and Probe forged pistons, ported Iron "394" GM marine heads, its a hyd roller motor and will be about 450HP wil come with Weinad intake and Demon carb and polished Marine valve covers, also comes with MSD Marine distributor and Taylor 9mm wires $6500
