Thought the subject might catch your attention.
1. 454 BBC, 990 heads, Arizona Speed and Marine Electronic Fuel Injection. Approximately 500HP. When I converted to the EFI I gained 25% in fuel economy, with amazing throttle response. Motor has been sitting in the garage for nearly 2 years, and could probably use some fresh bearings, but everything is there to make it run except fuel pump. For a Socal sale, I could probably get you some help setting it up. $2750. (Headers and mounts not included)

2. I also have a 454 BBC shortblock, 4 bolt mains, that I bought to rebuild for a project boat. Comes with a set of 049 heads, and engine stand. $600.
3. Finally, a 1965/66 Chevy 396 short block, 2 bolt mains, Casting #3855961, with 1965/66 oval port, closed chamber, 98cc heads. Could put it in a boat, but probably a great deal for nove, chevelle, el camino project. $1,200.

OK, I've decided that I'm tired of storing this EFI motor. New Price $2,000. I had this in that 20' Orange Nordic that Ralph now has, and it ran like a 18' sk hull--amazing throttle response, quick acceleration, probably 65+ mph, and easy on fuel (it's like paying $3.50 per gallon for gas again). Also, it adjusts itself for low altitude or 6000' and never any black smoke on the transom. Price includes engine stand.

SP,
How have you been?
Do you have any idea what crankshaft is in the EFI 454...More than a little intrigued... :sly:
I had one of these setups before...I want another one... ;)

Hey GT--It's been a while.
I don't remember about the crank--I'll see if Andrew does and will let you know.
You're right, I loved the combination--I had it in that heavy old 20' Nordic cruiser, and it would run with all the stock sk style jets, and got better mileage. The throttle response was amazing, I never had black soot on the transom, and it would run at either sea level or 6,000' with no adjustments. Someone needs this motor.

When I had it in the Nordic, it was even orange to match--too bad my #2 son turned it blue when he put it in his Sanger cruiser.

I was really serious about picking up this motor last week, but there's a lot about this deal that's not mentioned. If it was a complete 'drop in n go' as described, it would be a great deal. It has a roller cam, but is missing the roller lifters, roller rockers and push rods. It also doesn't come with the 10qt pan as pictured. It also needs a fuel pump rings and bearings as mentioned.
This motor needs $1,200+ in parts just to make it go.
The efi system is sweet though....which made it was tough to walk away from this deal.
