Jim,

What carb do you suggest I go with for my application? This is going on a stock 454 in an open bow cruiser. Nothing fancy. I have a Demon 850 vac secondary that falls on its face because the secondary slams open. I've also been told that the 850 is too big for my application. I can switch to a 750 and get better gas mileage too. Let me know which one i should go with. Thanks!

Non related. How can you tell the difference between a 750 and a 850 if the choke horn is milled off. My buddy gave me a carb that he thought was a 850 but the metering blocks number run as a 750 part

750 double pumper #4779 should have 1 3/8" venturi diameters and 1 11/16" throttle bores, while the 850 #4781 should be 1 9/16" V and 1 3/4" TB.
