I was thinking the same thing. He'd hafta change the oil pan or windage tray, and pickup. As well as timing cover (Which I'd buy that nicson from him), but a pretty good deal!  ;)

just a bump cuz this is a beautiful motor. i hope its still around after i get the wife into our first home this fall.

It's sold... I bought it two weeks ago...heads are in the machine shop. Standard bore that's getting a new set of pistons, new cam, etc. Crank looked new. So a few new parts, a gallon of aluminum polish, and my scoop and she's going in the Kachina..

so you paid 2k then had to rebuild it?

I went ahead and pulled one of the heads off and checked them out, found original bronze valve guides with some play. So I took those in... Going to go ahead and do the whole top end. Maybe just a re-ring and cam, and bearings... Motor has a lot more hours than it looks like... Better safe then sorry...
