Title: Want to buy: Thermostant Diverter Housing
Post by: mcvette on October 31, 2012, 04:00:29 PM
Now that I have figured out how to run the water lines I need a "Thermostant Diverter Housing" for a Ford 460.

Let me know if you have one for sale.

Thanks

I think you mean "Thermostat Diverter" housing? Meaning you're running a thermostat with Berk center risers?

I'm your Huckleberry! I got 3

OK, Heres what I think the guy is after.

And FWIW, WHAT it is for is engines using these......

And also requires THIS

Now, kinda hard to understand from the pics, but this is a Berk setup that used a thermostat, and plumbed kinda like we do headers these days. Josh at JBP taught me this, BTW, with the stuff I have. My Twin Jet Sleek and Moo were both originally equipped this way.

Ray,

You are exactly right. I need the housing shown in the picture. Need it to fit on an 8012 Weiand Stealt intake. How much do you want for it?

Gimme $25 and the ride and it's yours. I got a few of them. Moo is gone, the twin will be using closed cooling so I have no need for them, the plates or the center risers.

I don't see any reason it won't fit on a Stealth intake. Won't fit on a Tunnel Ram, I can tell you that much!  ;)

Now, if you're using this configuration with that front plate, which is a great system, TBO, are you using, or do you have the steel plate that goes behind it?

CP Performance finally has designed a great thermostadt setup about $ 250.00 for a Ford 460. I bought one for mine and keeps temps perfect. No more restricting water its full flow just what the engine and if you have water cooled manifolds need. Now I can get a good plug read and my block is happy, WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

Ray,

Decoded to go with the stralth intake. Found a new diverter housing so maybe someone else can chime in that needs one. Thanks for all the help.
