Being a Newbie here, what and when are the favorite events where SCJB members get together.  Lookin for family type events, not sandbar pole dance contests....

Fathers day presents many options .
The races (drags/circles) are a great place to go hang out and meet lots of folks .

I weeded through some of the websites and threads and came up with these dates. I know this is not set in stone, but it gives a good idea of the weekends to look forward to.  I'll update it as I get more info.


2009 RACE SCHEDULE (APBA)

November 2008...Thanksgiving Regatta Parker, AZ

February 14-15, 2009 Havasu Landing, CA All Classes

March 28-29, 2009 Puddingstone Lake, Pomona, CA All Classes

April 18-19, 2009 SCSC Blue Water Resort and Casino Spring Classic, Parker, AZ All Classes

May TBA- Lake Ming, Bakersfield, CA All Classes

May 23-24, Mission Bay, San Diego, CA Unlimited Lights and ALL REGION 12 Classes

June 26,27,28,29 Burley Regatta, Burley Idaho, Inboard Classes

August 8-9, 2009
Long Beach Sprint Nationals, Long Beach, CA  All Region 12 Classes except Nostalgia

September 18-20, 2009 San Diego

October 3-4 or 10-11, 2009 Needles...AS Bakersfield will still be under construction (this is NOT confirmed)

October 10-11, 2009 Puddingstone Lake, Pomona, CA All Classes

TBA- Parker 300 aka "The Enduro" Parker, AZ All Classes


If I have any dates wrong, I'll fix them as soon as I find out the correct info. Don't consider this list to be in any way, shape or form "official"

Been reading back on some older threads and aside from the race schedule, it seems like most of the social deals are kinda impromtu.  Seeing the pictures, you guys seem to know where the good spots are on the river.  I never spent any time on the river growing up, we was lake folk.
