The Avi will be the host for the SCJB August 2015 Gord trip the weekend of August 22nd, 2015. The Venue will be The Avi Resort and Casino which is between Laughlin and Needles. Farmer Gord annually comes down from Canada for this trip, thus why we've called it the 'Gord Trip'.
This event will be promoted along side of the Facebook Group 'Jet Boat Freaks'. Anyone and everyone is always welcome to our events. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

I only knew of one incident on the beach and it was resolved quickly. We are all there to have fun - with SCJB or not. Just please try to respect others that are there that are not with our group. If anyone has an issue, please come find me. Security was awesome with us at the last event. I want to continue this relationship with them.

I'm a fairly new member to the site but not to the river or boating. I happened to be at AVI a few years ago with my 75 Rogers, wasn't sure what I had at the time until a few jet boat guys wanted to buy it from me on the spot. I didn't sell it but got stolen six months later from the coast. I went into a flattie for awhile now I just finished building and installing the motor in my 76 Hallett bubbkedeck. Make a long story short I will be there and it will be the first trip to the river matter of fact the boat hasn't seen any water yet. Maybe Sunday for a couple hours just to tune it under a load. I would love to stay at AVI but I can't pass up free suites at the Harrahs but I will be launching at AVI.
Right on brother. This is my first official outing I'll be going to.

Where do you guys usually stay for the big bend event? I stayed at the avi last year and there was only like 2 other boats.
The majority of everyone stays at the Pioneer. It may not be the nicest place, but its cheap, there is ample parking close to the rooms and security doesnt sweat us for hanging out in the parking lot.

Kinda seeing how far I can push this train with this event. If you notice I kinda pick n choose what events I promote and how hard to promote them. Big river fathers day didn't get any social media promoting as I like to keep it small and family oriented. This one I'm kinda pulling out all the stops. Speedboat mag is on board. I'm working on a few other outlets including Monster Energy. Should be the biggest one to date by far.

Like I tell everyone. It's not the fastest, prettiest, and for sure not the most expensive boat out. But it might be one of the loudest and its mine and I enjoy it.
That and I'm Pretty sure I can get a solid 70-75 out of the little 325

I have a heavy Hallett Mini Cruiser, The Winnebago, thanks for the new nick name Jim.
I don't get out of the hole like some of the lighter boats, but I spin a Stainless 'A' impellor to 6,000 RPM. Do the Math. ;)
The question is, how long are you willing to run your hotrod at 5,000 to 5,500 RPM from the AVI to Lazy Harrys'? ;)

Soooo . . . s' pose I lost my mind and flew down Friday after work and brought a few :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: to share around the campfire >:D might there be someone that would give me an early morning ski run? I haven't skied in nearly 3 years. Im old, fat, and jonesing back to ski but I won't t hang on too long I'm sure. I can boat bitch like a big dog and have no problem at all helping at the ramp. Will I get hassled if I sleep in my truck? Piss poor weekend for the wife to be working :banghead:

I'd take you for a ski run, but my boat doesn't have a ski tow and I know you don't want to be caught skiing behind an IO

Does anybody have an extra steering tube nut? I got a new tube from Place but they didn't have any nuts. I have one from my old one but still need one more. Trying to leave this afternoon so if I can't get it before I can meet at the Avi later tonight or tomorrow and put in on in the parking lot. Anywhere from Lakewood to Laughlin I will go to get it. Even if I didn't have my boat and the weekend starting so horribly awry, still managed to hang out with great people, had an awesome time, and drank entirely way too much beer. This will be a "for sure" trip on my list next year... Might have to turn it into a 4 day weekend though.For sure... 4 days will be a must...

Yea but Dennis and our lady's had a great time walking around the strip and winding down on Sunday so I was thinking of staying till Monday so we could do a river float on Sunday. And leave monday... We did see some of our SCJB peeps floating sunday, we yelled at them but they wouldn't come get us.. we were jellous.. hahahThat was a good lil wind down day. Idk about all you guys but today sucked wish we were still at the river.
