The Avi will be the host venue for the SCJB One Hot Summer Weekend event on August 27th, 2016.
Anyone and everyone is always welcome to our events. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

All in! Got the kids & dog & floaty's and ready to have some fun!
BTW, no dogs allowed at AVI so we're staying in Needles and will go for a little boat ride in the morning.

Just fyi....no dogs allowed on the beach...not even if they are in your boat. They are very strict about it.

This event is only days away! Who is ready?
I am sure everyone has seen the mess on social media about the river being trashed last weekend due to a certain non-boating event. SoCalJetBoats has decided to do something about it to help rather than point fingers. We are going to be doing a Trash Drive! We will be handing out trash bags through the weekend to anyone who wants to participate. Being you just bag up your own trash, or you go on a full blown scavenger hunt for trash up and down the river - the winner of the largest collection of trash will receive a voucher for a 2 night stay at The Avi along with a couple of free breakfast coupons! The Avi has gotten on board and loves that we care about the playground for what we love to do. Also, the winner will receive a package from SoCalJetBoats which will include over $100 in SoCalJetBoats Merchandise.
I just ask everyone to be honest about this. No dumpster diving! The winner will be decided Saturday evening at 9pm in the Avi boat parking lot on the south side of the hotel.

Love this idea! My wife and I will do are part, not to win the biggest trash picked up, but just to show our support and love for the waters we play and enjoy to be in and on. Can't wait to me you guys and have a bitchin weekend

This really bums me out they decided to double book a weekend against my event. I wish I could be at both places, but obviously I had prior commitments dating back to December last year when I booked the date for this event. Whoever is running the ADBA, tell them let's work together, not against each other like this. I'd love to promote their events, but obviously not if they run them parallel to mine. It sucks when you gotta make this small boating community split up like this.
Regardless, good luck to Jake, Dennis and Brian this weekend. Keep us updated!

Hey Brad, we found a problem on the boat and trying to decide what to do.
Guess I could bring a shiny new tow rope. LOL ! The Avi room is available but Dave has been gracious enough to
invite us to stay at the river house while I'm trying to figure it out.
It looks like we have a small hole or maybe a cracked weld in the bottom of the pan.
No big deal at this point but worried if it gets worse.
Really don't want to miss this trip !!! Geezus, now even Mr. & Mrs. Crewchief are showing up ! Love those guys

I know it's a show boat and all....but what's a little oil in the bilge? Run it, bring a extra quart of oil. You'll be fine.

Its gonna leak for sure, I'm just worried if it lets go.
I would use JB weld for sure Jim but I can't get to it and don't have time to pull the motor again.
Guess we'll just go for it, but if you see a CP on the side of the river come say hi.

. If you make Parker from where you will be at you have a bigger problem pull it just takes a few hours and it's back in. What is it hitting? Oil over rated look up an old slick 50 commercial.

after all these years when we rebuilt but didnt have a problem at the time.

. I've only seen it out once and had oil all over then you will be fine.

Chausa will be there in the cruiser, I will be at Parker. All you guys have fun! Kinda sucks missing this event especially with a cruiser now but will see you all in September and October trips.

I went through three extra quarts last avi trip, was messy and embarrassing but hell I was at the river! Lol

What are the chances of a non member finding a spot in the avi cove. Does it usually fill up? We would be coming from the riverside.

We aren't a club or anything with memberships....just show up and have a good time. Cove fills up by 10 or 11 so get in quick.
