BlueWater Resort & Casino

To book your rooms, call (888) 243-3360, press 1 for reservations and give them the group rate code "SoCal Jet Boats". This will get you a rate of $89 per night for Marina rooms, plus resort fee's ($12/night) and taxes (5.5%). The room rate code expires on March 25th, 2016 so please book your rooms promptly.
The Bluewater resort has a lot to offer including a full 24/7 casino, fully stocked bars, live cover band or DJ on weekends w/ dance floor, large pool area with huge water slides, a large Arcade with miniature golf. They also have an RV park if you want to roll in with your RV. They also has a 164 slip marina and lots of parking for boat trailers. There is also a launch ramp at the casino. The launch fee's are waved as a part of this package. Please ask the front desk for details when checking in. As guests, we also get free use of the beach - don't let the guy charge you to park down there.
Besides the Bluewater, there are several other attractions along the Parker Strip for your entertainment needs.

A lot of people roll out Thursday night/Friday morning and hang out friday. The main spots everyone hangs out at night is in the cantina down by the water or one of the bars up in the casino - there is only 2 up there.

It's been decades since I was stationed in 29 palms and I know some roads have changed with the times and the weather. 10 east, exit 1 toward ehrenberg/Parker (flying j exit), turn left (loop around now) towards Parker, turn right onto ehrenberg poston hwy (at the t-stop), take that for about 41 miles, then make left onto 2nd st., continue into riverside dr, then left onto Bluewater resort dr.

The water level doesn't fluctuate as much on the Parker Strip so you have less issue with your anchor moving around.

Have you ever been to The BlueWater Casino?

During the day most people launch at the marina and park the trucks near the beach on the opposite side of the casino. We hang out around a few of the cabanas for the day with people coming/going as they wish (no preset runs up river). In the afternoon/evening people will be split between the Cantina and the Casino.

Ive never been to Parker at all and this will be my first SCJB event as well, so im hoping to just go with the flow and not get in anyones way lol.

For you first timers at Parker - be aware that the ENTIRE river in front of the bluewater is a No Wake Zone! This is a common mistake a lot of first timers make by coming out of the marina and hammering it.
This means from the dam all the way to the RV Park. The end of the no wake zone is marked by buoys. See illustration below. See me if you have any questions 8)

yeah, bring both. some people like to sand spike it, others like to anchor it out. The current is very minimal, almost non existant on that part of the river.

A reminder for all you first timers to parker....the entire river in front of the bluewater is a no wake zone, not just the marina. Dont go hammering on it as you leave the marina!

Great turn out for a weekend of clouds, rain and intermittent sunshine. I got to meet and talk with several of the newer members that haven't been out to an SCJB event before. Very cool seeing so many new boats out having a good time.
We even had a rare sighting of the one and only GTjets!

Me and the lady had an amazing time she said that was her the best way to spend her birthday. Thanks again to the people who came up and said his to us newbies made us feel welcome! Here's a couple pics I took.

What a blast.
Seeing so many people with the same illness is sort of a relief. Lol
Saw some new faces x always great to see the familiar ones.
We didn't make it back to the Bluewater on Sunday, worried about the weather and having to work today with 600 miles between home and the river made me a little nervous.
Going to plan an extra day or two next time, to make the driving more worth while.
Still found it hard to fathom that some folks came from further away.
Great seeing you and your beautiful family crewchief22, happy birthday and see you next time.
Mrs. GT Jets even had a good time, finding food was a small challenge (she has to eat gluten free or she gets very sick), but we totally figured it out.
Hope to do at least one more event trip.

We had a great time, there was a guy in a pontoon at the sand bar that said he had never seen so many jet boats in his life, I thought that was bad ass, it was just me and my son and a few good friends we had a blast
