The 2015 "October Trip" will be taking place October 9th - 11th. The spot will be Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area at the North Beach which can be accessed by car if you are just coming to spectate. There is a decent launch ramp and the North Beach is huge now and 100% Sand. The Park is located south of Laughlin, north of the Avi on the Nevada side. Launch fee's are somewhere under $20 a day. The State Ranger's that run the park there are super friendly and are very welcoming to our group.
The group rate info is below for the Pioneer in Laughlin. I have 40 rooms blocked at a rate of around $49/night. Please wait to call until I post the rates to avoid confusion. The have ample boat parking and its right outside the rooms. Its not a 5 star resort, but its decent. They are open to us hanging out and having a few drinks in the parking lot at night.

I just called the Pioneer to change my reservation over to the SCJB109 code.
I will have to call back tomorrow, evidently Shirlie is the only person that can make the switch and she was MIA this afternoon.

it was the welds on the trap doors that broke and cracked through they penetrated the metal too far when they welded it.

Yes, the hotel is sold out Saturday night because of the Carrie Underwood concert. NO, its not sold out for people booking under SoCalJetBoats. It's not super nice or new by any means. It's an older hotel and hasn't been remodeled in quite some time. It's a step above the big river inn, and I know that place wasn't up to par for you guys.

I guess it all depends on what you call bad. It is not five stars but it's not a dump either. It is old but clean not that bad at all.

Mike , it's really pretty decent just not new. You know the parking lot is half the fun, might as well hang out with the crew ! There is a really good steak house within walking distance and good breakfast too. I believe the launch ramp is $15.00 a day.

Missed out on seeing everyone yesterday but I'm down at the AVI. Anyone out running around on the water today?

Wow, It was great seeing all the familiar boaters and meeting all the new comers.
I was pretty much bummed out about the rock in my pump so I left the Pioneer a little before noon Sunday.
It was a pretty easy drive home, however, a big ass motor home came into my lane right when I was side by side with him when I was rolling into Barstow. He pushed me real close to the bridge rail. I kept rolling but I had a lot of choice words to say about his stupid driving talents.
I hope everyone had a safe trip home. I truly love all of you folks.
Brad, thanks again for all your effort and thank you to all that attended this event.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who participated on getting my truck fixed on Saturday night. I had a rough weekend and could not have made fun with out all of you scjbs! Becky will back in full force soon. Guess this made my winter fix it list come up a lil premature. But in all I'm glad no body got hurt and Becky only stayed wet on the bottom side. Thanks again everyone! Definitely another for the books and once again that Laughlin fall trip did me dirty!

So much fun this weekend, met so many cool people! Shut down the parking lot three nights in a row I think my liver is broken and I'm ready for Betty Ford and to "the one and only" Hallett Dave aka Gamer, so cool to find out you're a Chico State grad also, loved talking about Chico! Cheers! :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: :beer: had some more than usual blow by coming out my breather oil fill cap on Sat, ran it at Lake Mohave for two days after the meet up hopefully didn't smoke the old olds, pulled plugs and moved them around, only one had some burnt charred crap on it, I see a compression test in my future.

A great weekend with everyone, was a good closing trip to end the season, great meeting all of you and seeing everyone I have already met, see everyone who can make it in Vegas 🚤🇺🇸🍻🍻
