April 12th-13th is the SCSC/APBA Spring Classic at the BlueWater Resort and Casino in Parker, AZ

ill be in havasu brad friday night the 11th (truckin/minitruckin/diesel power magazines) are having a state to state cruise from orange county to havasu friday, truck and boat show or saturday and sunday @ london bridge resort, back by the golf course.....

The Bluewater is sold out and so is the Best Western....Skip and I are campin in his trailer at the RV park right next to the race course....it's only $25 a night. If ya got a travel trailer or RV, give them a call at (928) 669-2433. They have showers, full hookups, etc....plus the lady is super nice and said shes welcoming to the roudy racers >:D
You can also try the Bridge Inn @ (928)669-2133 ...they are the host hotel for the Parker gathering in June.

ok its a $$ issue. that being said i'm trying to cut the cost of me racing this event, so if i dont have to bring my motor home and my truck to launch with that will save me about 100 bucks.
will any body be there sat/sun with a truck that can launch my boat?

lance...those are the retail rates at $189 a night or something.....theres an SCSC rate at $99 a night.

I figured there was a racer rate too. But had to get what we could. I was going to call to see if there was something they could work out after we made the reservation. The cost of gas to pull the trailer and another car to pull the boat would be a wash. I just found out I got boned on my motor. I get it back in a bunch of pieces tomorrow. Its looking real slim that I will be running.

well, they have the drivers meeting at like 8...then they start with all the hydros (grown men driving kids boats ;D) ...which isnt very entertaining.....usually they dont get the big blocks running until after 10.
but come at 8...get started early....stay late. it will be a good time.

I was planning on coming for the whole weekend and then found out that I HAVE to go to the Rodeo on Sunday because an almost family member is riding in it, I tried to get out of it but no go!

yeah i pleshed out sorry guys i was looking forward to it, but my water pump went out on my truck so i took it in for warranty...anyway so i had them fix some other stuff and anyway the bill is going to be 1300 and i may be stuck with the bill, because i have an edge programmer in my truck...the water pump to purchase is like 700 bucks freaking diesels

thats complete bs....dont let them stick you with the bill...they have to prove that the part(s) failed because of the aftermarket part(s).
example: they cant void your warrenty on your transmission because you put an exhaust on your car. it happened to me with vw...they even went to the extent to say it was associated that since i had an exhaust, it means i was driving it wrecklessly causing the 1-2 syncro to fail. :screwy: ...yeah, maybe i slammed it into 2nd a few times launching it at stop lights, but prove it.
i drove that thing like it was a fully insured rental....and it took it.

By Federal Law the dealership "MUST" prove at "THE DEALERSHIPS EXPENSE" that the aftermarket part/accessory caused the part to fail, PERIOD!
I have been thru this with several cars/trucks, because every vehicle I have I must modify. And with vehicle purchases on the down side, dealerships are going to be looking for ways to make some extra $$$. And since they are paid for warranty work at a set amount they will tell you that its not covered and charge you full price.
If they try to tell you that you have to pay it because of your programmer...say "Prove It"!

If the give you a hard time about having aftermarket parts installed:
First: don't get pissy with them (very important)
Second: ask them to put it in writing what the failure was and how the aftermarket component caused the failure
third: if they will not give you something in writing, ask see the manager and ask again
Fouth: tell them you are going to consult with a lawyer about your rights according to the magnuson moss act
The main thing is don't get pissed off, angry, or upset at the service advisor (he is only doing what he has been told to do), go to the service manager or the general manager with any problems or questions.
And don't forget to mention consulting with a lawyer about your rights (very important).

Well I came to BHC to prep the PS89 boat and it is ready for Parker. Last evening I watched Jim test the CJ72 boat. The boat is like a bracket car, running ON the number time and time again. Judging from the GPS numbers I saw, I would suggest you jet racers bring your "A" game to Parker....As of yesterday there were 6 Pro Stockers registered, Jeff Wooton has his capped boat back and tested Monday. He said it's like a whole different boat now that the bottom is right and underwater stuff is all aligned. For you Ford guys, the wood decker will be there, SS/PS/NF?, and if it runs anything like it did at Ming, should be right up there in the action. It looks like it's going to be a good weekend for racing, hope to see you all at the races....Ray

I took the camera with me and forgot to take it down to the beach/pits. The wife wasnt there with me to take a bunch of pics so I "F'd" up! But I know 2savs wife and Brads women were taken a bunch of pictures. wow...what a weekend...
first off congrats to ralph....he cleaned house this weekend....beating everyone BADLY. I am very proud of ya man....you have dialed your driving ability and your motor...and it shows.
huge thanks to anyone and everyone who helped out this weekend including luckie stiff (aka beef master)...forked up for helping ralph as a tow vehicle and help break down camp.....thanks to crewcheif for the advice...thanks to nick and terry for letting me borrow their loader.....thanks to ralph and his pops for the endless hours trying to make the boat run and never giving up.
my motor had some gremlins in it that couldnt be kicked...we tried many things and nothing seemed to help....we only ran saturday and scratched sunday....it didnt make sense to beat on the motor more until we can figure out just whats going on.
I got a ton of pics.....too tired to post....i will post them in the morning.

I had a great time on Saturday, being able to meet so many of the personalities from the SCJB community, watch some good racing and work on some boats in the process (very cool).
Thanks to both Brad and Ralph for the vote of confidence in allowing me to twist a wrench on both of your boats (that meant a lot to me).
Looking forward to seeing everyone in June.

Well my lady did it, not only did she take the video , but because we could not figure out how to download it she played it in the laptop and then used the camera to copy it again. So i guess she just made her own pirate tape ;D What ever works right..... it gave it that nostalgia look to it like it was filmed in 1970's.
Its a little shaky in spots , but it will work for now. She said next time she will use the tri pod ;)
