As many of you know, the Bakersfield SCSC 2007 Season Finals are coming up on October 6th and 7th at Lake Ming. This will be the final race for the Nostalgia Jet Class of the 2007 points season. This race will have some new participants out there including Rick Ortega (lilrick) and Harold Bruce (R&D Marine).

The points race is very close! Jim Rich (Squirtin Thunder) is trailing behind Ralph Brunt (rwyyattb) by 10 points with Omar Archuleta (beerjet) following not too far behind in 3rd place.

Here are the current driver point standings for the class:

Omar Archuleta (beerjet - cj22): 500 Points
David Carrasco (cj277): 340 Points
Nick Valore (cj410): 285 Points

Terry Valore (cj410): 95 Points

As the newly appointed representative of the class, I invite everyone to come out and show some support. Even if it means just to come out and have a good time. Swing by, say hi, and watch some racing. This class is growing due to the large amount of comradery amongst the racers. Yes, there is points at stake, but everyone is here for one reason - a good time.

There is still one or two racers I am still waiting to hear from.

Looks like its about a 7 hour trip from Phoenix, AZ.

and is there a place to park the toyhauler to stay the weekend??

Camping is $30 CASH ONLY....the ranger will charge you $30 even if your rig has sleeping quarters, staying in it or not, you will have to pay the 30 bucks.

Brad and all the Jet Boat circle racers Its very exciting to see this event gain momentum and popularity we wish you all Great success ! At the same time it was obvious that everyone seemed to work together and was having fun. It was very cool to see and hear the response and excitement from the spectators and drag racers. Just like Brock it gave me chills to see the boats come around all lined up for the start Its reminded me of the "Old days" at Ming when the "Ks" were a huge "half time" attraction ! We are committed to being there next race to help support however we can, and are anxiously looking forward to same

My entry for the Parker 300 is in and the entry for this race will be going out this afternoon. Most likely we will be just running around the course making laps with Omar cj22, as we will be fighting for the second spot.

I am in !

After a week of major repair it is finally done. I need to thank a few people for there help. Tony, Donna, Amanda, Steve, Scott Foxwell, Scott (Ducky from Precision Boat Werks) and Toni & Victor. Thanks for stoppin by Terry Valore as well as the calls from Ralph. I also need to thank Bob for letting me use his mill, lathe and drill press.

Well it floats & runs, need to tear it down again as I am not at all happy with the way the boat is working.

I got word yesterday that Ken Neal (Cj20) blew up his motor and wont be able to make it.

The boat count is now at 7.

Well that sucks, Sorry to Hear, was looking forward to a big showing !
