yeah i fixed my boat. The distributor center shaft came apart from the gear, allowing the rotor to lift past the magnetic pick ups. I bough a ford "hei" for 119 at summit. One wire hook up. DONE DEAL.
the only seat you would be saving is one at the bar, since thats where you will be when i need you for a tow, or whatever  >:D

FOCK !      So a month ago I tell Tony I want to use his trailer.  Then life gets in the way and I have to cancel on him.  NOW things change up a bit and knowing you guys are going to BR, I say to the wife this morning, "hey want to go to the river?"  Sure she says, BUT . . . we have to camp cuz we are broke fokkers.  THEN but I want to go W,Th, F   NOT the weekend, because that is my (her) birthday and she "wants to do something just for her".   AND she is working Tuesday.
Sooo good ol' GC has to do all the packing, get a boat running, etc. in the next 2 days.  Then pull it to Blythe on questionable tires.
AND she now wants the kids to bring a friend, so GC ain't gettin' no nekkid time during the day, the tent just got more crowded so I won't be gettin' any at night and, I get to cook for 5.   :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Questionable tires? Bring a ratchet strap if one blows out just pull the wheel and ratchet up that side.

Heavy duty strap?   Yup, been there done that.  So now she wants to bring the Wriedt which needs the bilge pump and diverer switches worked on.    At least it has the bimini that the Spectra doesn't.  On the plus side the tires ]are better.   Anybody going to McIntyre or Mayflower this week?

I did the ratchet strap recently on the race boat....it was sketchy as hell and still scraped when I hit bumps. Just bring a spare. I know I won't leave home again without one.

Anyone staying until Monday and floatin on Sunday? I got a comp day for workin memorial...thinkin about usin it to stay a day longer.

A simple thing like dropping an engine in? C'mon man! Get to it!  >:D

Crewcheif got his completely Disassembled/reassembled in a couple of weeks  after removing engine/pump and intake and now running like a top! I got Pickle all prettied up, and then, well today, added the new ignition system.......

YAY! Bye-bye HEI!!!  Still gotta button it up, but I gptta go hit Radio Shack tomorrow for some multi-pin quick connects so I can still remove these rear covers quickly and easily.....
